New Kiln In The Czech Republic.

Folks have built a kiln like mine in the Czech Republic, Euan's design. Just getting settled from the experiences of the last couplemonths. Trip to England was the first outside of Japan in 6.5 years! Trying to fire before the month is out to get a seamail packageto Northern Clay Center for the holiday sale. Really behind! lee in Mashiko, Japan

Craig's blue celadon

Craig's blue celadon, originally uploaded by makigama.

I'm posting this picture for Craig Edwards because he gave me the

recipe. It's the blue celadon using our P feldspar that we dig

nearby. There is a little jun effect on the handle side, where the

ash turned it opalescent. This piece was fired on the front top, very

hot, cone 12-13. It ran a little and I had to grind the foot a bit.
